I changed out my OEM blades for some aftermarket blades last season. I then got these as a replacement for those this season. To my surprise, the aftermarket blades were still perfect after an entire season of use.These are the high lift blades suitable for mulching. Design and quality is similar to the blades I am using now. The finish and balance are good. They are dipped so the cutting edge is covered but it looks correct. The paint is a little thick and sloppy so I can't tell yet how well the star will fit the spindle. Might have to remove some of that finish for it to seat all the way. These will get put into active duty later this season when I take the deck off for cleaning and service.Price was fair for the quality. Time will tell how well they hold up after I put them into service for a while.

My blades on my D140 were far over due to be replaced so when I sawy this GICOOL blades were made to fit my mower I decided to give them a try. They fit perfectly on my mower deck and were easy to install. The blades work great and make a nice clean cut when mowing my lawn. Since these are mulching blades they really do a great job of finely cutting up the grass clippings. I mow about 3 acres with some of it covered in trees and these blades have held up to mowing over the occasional branch without causing a problem or nicking up the blades. These mower blades for my John Deere D140 (48" deck) have been a solid upgrade and are doing exactly what I needed them to do.After installing them, the mower produced a noticeably cleaner, more even cut across the yard. These blades from GICOOL are excellent at cutting the grass. The cut is very even and the chopped up grass is very fine. Sometimes I will sharpen brand new blades but I did not need to do that for these. The black finish was evenly applied to each piece and I did not see any manufacturing defects.The blades installed without issue. They have the correct star pattern for my D140. I first checked the balance and they were all good. Since I also clean my deck whenever I replace the blades, I removed the deck from the tractor and flipped it over. It always takes a bit of elbow grease to get the old ones off but the new ones went on easily. After putting the deck back on, I made sure the tires were all at the correct psi and adjusted the deck height. When mowing, there were no troublesome vibrations and the blades easily chopped through the grass. I have a large piece of property and there are some thick patches and these blades handled it very well. I mostly do mulching but sometimes keep the side open. The blades were good either way.I like the quality of these blades and I will definitely consider ordering them again the next time I need a set.
