The quality and fit of these wheels are amazing. It is definitely a value to replace the wheels versus buying a new push mower. Installation was way simpler than I expected, it only took a couple of minutes. The wheels are pretty durable and should last for the rest of the lifetime of this mower. They did look a little different from each other but it improved the overall appearance of the mower.

I put these wheels on the front of a Troy - Bilt TB280 ES mower with a Briggs & Stratton 725 exi engine. The inside of the new wheel appears to be pretty similar to the inside of the old wheel, primarily related to the inner gear teeth. I did notice that the inside center appears to stick out just a little further than on the original wheel. I did not think to measure the distance through the center until after I installed them. By that time I did not care, since they fit with no problem.The only "problem" is that the original wheels have a type of hub cap. Now the front wheels no longer match the rear wheels. I can live with that, since the design of the new wheels still looks nice. There is nothing to hide behind the hub caps on this.The installation was pretty simple and almost the reverse of taking the old wheel off. The main difference is there is no hub cap to put back on during installation. Just run the bolt through the center of the wheel and use a socket wrench to screw the bolt into the mower frame.After starting the mower, the wheels turned with no problem in the air and on the driveway. When I ran the mower through some grass, the wheels had a slight amount of trouble getting traction through the somewhat tall grass. But, the weather has finally been warming up on a regular basis the last week. Until late last week, the weather could be in the 70s on one day but down into the 20s within two days and many days in between. Also, this yard has not been cut since last fall. So, I was not completely surprised.I am giving this four out of five stars, primarily because they are not able to get a lot of traction in the taller grass. I can see the arguments for leaving it with all five stars. But, even though this is a fairly minor issue, I still can't give a perfect score. If this were out of 10 stars, I could give this 9 stars.The current selling price of $25.99 seems to be in the upper half of the price range for replacement wheels for a self propel lawn mower. Still, the wheels do appear to be well - built and of solid construction. So, this is not necessarily overpriced. If you can see that these will fit your mower, I have not problem recommending them.

The tread looks durable and should provide good traction for a self-propelled mower.They were super easy to install without any special knowledge.They matched the listed size and specifications and fit properly on the mower without any issues. Once installed, the mower rolled smoothly and felt stable while cutting.Overall, these seem like a solid replacement option if your original wheels are worn down or cracked. Good quality and a practical fix to extend the life of a mower.

These replacement wheels fit perfectly and made my mower roll smoothly again. The 8 inch size matches the originals and the build quality feels solid. They install easily and the tread provides good traction on grass and uneven ground. They work well on my Yard Machines mower and should fit a wide range of MTD and Craftsman models. This two pack is a good value and a simple way to refresh an older self propelled mower. Overall they are sturdy wheels that perform exactly as expected.
