942-04308 Blades for 42" Troy Bilt Bronco Pony Mustang Cub Cadet, Replace 942-04308A 942-04308-X 942-04312

I swapped these onto my Cub Cadet 42-inch deck, and they matched the originals exactly. The 6-point star center hole lined up with no play, the length and mounting were right, and they bolted straight in place of the old blades without any filing or forcing. The steel is noticeably heavy-duty, thicker and more solid-feeling than I expected, and they came sharp right out of the package rather than needing a pass on the grinder first. Out on the lawn they cut clean and mulch well, chopping the clippings down fine enough that they settle into the grass instead of leaving clumps and rows behind. Getting two in the set covered the whole deck at once, which is exactly what a 42-inch mower needs, and replacing both together keeps the cut balanced. For a mid-season blade refresh on a 42-inch Cub Cadet, these dropped right in, cut sharp, and mulched the way I wanted. A solid, correct-fitting replacement that I would put on again next time around.

I picked these up as a direct replacement for my old Super Bronco, and I couldn't be happier with them. I haven't installed these Mulching Blades on our Cub Cadet XLT1 riding tractor just yet, but the material looks excellent and incredibly strong right out of the box.?My husband looked them over and says they are going to fit perfectly and that the quality of the material looks great.

Great blades. I was a bit hesitant that they would be cheap blades, they are not at all. Much better value than OEM blades at roughly 1/2 the price. They are the same thickness and same everything as the oem blades and give a great appearance when mowing. The fit was straight forward, take off the old blades put on the new. They seem durable as they have had 3 mows on them and still cut great over 2 acres. The material is solid. So far I am extremely happy with the performance of these blades. The mulching option is great, the lawn pictures are from today the 3rd mow with very wet grass. No clumping and a good mulch.Would highly recommend

These blades exceeded my expectations. Fast delivery and easy install since they were very sure to list all the specifics to be sure it fit my mower. As soon as I put them on I mowed our 2 acre lawn and noticed an immediate and significant difference over my old worn out blades. Not only do these chop the grass nice and cleanly but the mulching works very well and sends out much smaller blades of grass that don't clump up. Very pleased with these blades and I'll update at the end of the season on how they hold up.

It chops the grass up fine promoting a healthier lawn . They are well balanced so there is no vibrations during mowing . These blades work well if you want to bag you clippings or just let them fly . They are durable , lightweight , sharp and fit perfectly .These are a good quality blade that are well designed and a great value for the money and I would use these again in the future.

These blades were a good replacement for my 42 inch mower and fit the star mount correctly without any extra fuss. They felt solid out of the box, and the edges were sharp enough to make a noticeable difference compared with the worn blades I took off. Installation was straightforward, though I would definitely double check the mount style before ordering since there are a lot of similar looking blades.The cut has been clean and even, and the mulching performance is better than I expected for the price. Grass clippings are chopped up well instead of leaving heavy rows behind. They also handled a yard with small sticks and debris without seeming flimsy.
