- PRECISION CUTTING PERFORMANCE: Crafted from high-grade 40MnB steel, GICOOL blades are rigorously tested to ensure a clean, consistent cut. The cutting edge is treated with a rust-resistant coating to protect your hands during installation and prevent corrosion; this coating is designed to wear off naturally during use to maintain peak mowing efficiency
- CHECK BEFORE PURCHASE: To ensure a perfect fit, please verify your original blade's OEM number and 5/8" center hole size before ordering. GICOOL provides high-quality replacement parts that meet or exceed original equipment standards. Easy installation—no modifications required
These replacement mower blades are well manufactured and feel solid and balanced right out of the package. The 40MnB steel construction gives them a durable, heavy-duty feel, and they install cleanly on compatible 42-inch Toro and Exmark decks as long as the correct center hole and OEM match are confirmed. Once installed, they deliver a smooth, consistent cut with good lifting performance, helping maintain an even lawn finish. In terms of compatibility, they align accurately with the listed OEM part numbers, and fitment is straightforward with no modifications needed. During operation, the blades run with minimal vibration, suggesting good factory balancing and helping reduce strain on the mower system. The cutting edge performs well and maintains efficiency through regular mowing, and the rust-resistant coating is a useful touch during handling and installation. Overall, they offer strong value for the money as a reliable replacement option that restores cutting performance without the higher cost of OEM parts.
I've owned a Toro Timecutter mower for a few years now, and with all the sand on our property, I go through blades quite quickly. I purchased the mulching kit for my Toro mower when I first bought it, and have tried a variety of mulching blades with the mower, and have been using the Toro Recycler blades, but thought I'd give it another try with a non-OEM blade.First thing I noticed with the blade is that the sharp edge extends further on the blade than others I've used. Second, when comparing to the OEM blade, this GICOOL blade will sit about a 1/2 inch lower in your deck (see side-by-side photo of new-right /old-left blade). The blade fits on the Toro spindle without any issues, but do take note that you will need to adjust your deck height to account for the lower blade position in the deck. Installation was similar to all the other blades I've used, with no fit issues on the spindle. When cutting with the blades, they function and cut pretty well, but I notice that I have more issues with dust/debris escaping out the front of the deck (in the center area) than I did with my old blades, and I believe this is directly a result of the blades sitting lower in the deck (see photo with area circled in red, showing blade edge actually slightly below the deck). The material from the left blade is being slung into the area of the right blade, which is kicking it out the underside of the deck. I will be removing these blades and putting them in my shop vise and straightening them out to match my old blades.
Straight cut, no curve for lift like OEM.
Cuts good! I can't complain
I ordered this set of blades for my Toro zero turn mower. I've been using the original set for several years. These blades are the high lift style which seem to cut and disperse the grass better. You may need to raise your mower deck about 3/4" due to the curvature of the blades. The blades weren't as sharp as I normally keep them, so I sharpened them a little more. Installation is pretty straightforward and they fit well, as always take precautions. The blade quality is very good along with the functionality. This blade set is a great choice and value for your mowing needs.
